Gina Kowalski
Gina has been involved in dance for over 30 years now. She fell in love with competing while on her varsity dance/drill team at Palatine High School where she was fortunate enough to experience winning 3 State Championships with IDTA. Shortly after graduating high school, Gina began teaching, coaching and choreographing then soon after became a certified judge for IDTA and Halftime Illinois. Gina was later a founding member of TeamDance Illinois (TDI), co-director of TDI Summer Intensives and Team Dance Youth (TDY). She was a technical dance judge throughout Illinois for TDI as well. She has also judged for Illinois High School Association (IHSA) at the regional and state level, as well as Varsity All Star, and AIA (in Arizona). She has judged at numerous regional, sectional, state and national competitions throughout the country. She is a credentialed adjudicator for NDCA and has also judged for Dance Team Union (DTU). Gina has also enjoyed instructing and choreographing for many Illinois high school teams. Most recently she was the head coach for Fremd High School. Under Gina’s direction, varsity advanced to State Finals, as well as UDA National Finals. She has had the honor of instructing and directing at numerous studios and community dance programs. Additionally, Gina owned Dimensions of Dance and with the help of other talented instructors, she began teaching girls that had little to no dance experience to become award winning competitive dancers. She has always been passionate about dance and loves encouraging dancers and building their confidence! Gina believes dance teaches us much more than just dance skills and proper technique, it teaches important life lessons like discipline, team work, time management, confidence, respect and good sportsmanship just to name a few!
